Visual Voice Mail (Embedded)

Overview

Visual Voice Mail allows you to visually interact with your voice mail.

NOTE: This topic describes how to use Visual Voice Mail when it is implemented with the embedded voice mail system.

NOTE: Visual Voice Mail on the 6920, 6930, 6940, and 6970 IP Phones must be enabled using the (Settings) key (soft key in 6970 IP phones).

5140 IP Phone and 5240 IP Phone

To access Visual Voice Mail:

  1. Press Voice Mail.

  2. Enter Password.

5330/5330e IP Phone, 5340/5340e IP Phone, 5360 IP Phone,6920, 6930, 6940, and 6970 IP Phones

To display details about a message:

  1. Press the key or the programmable key assigned to the Visual Voice Mail application (5330/5330e, 5340/5340e IP Phone) or the icon (5360 IP Phone) or the key on the 6920, 6930, and 6940 IP phones.

  2. Log in to your mailbox.

  3. Press on a message in your message list. The window can display the following information about your message:

  4. Message type: new, saved, confidential, urgent or recorded

  5. Date, time and duration of message

In this window, you can save, play or delete the message.
You can send the voicemail to your email if the Forward to Email feature is enabled. You can dial the message sender or add the message sender to your contact list. Not supported on 6920/6930, and 6970 IP phones.

  1. To view other messages and their details, use the scroll buttons or navigation keys to move up or down through your message list.
