Visual Voice Mail allows you to visually interact with your voice mail.
NOTE: This topic describes how to use Visual Voice Mail when it is implemented with the embedded voice mail system.
A maximum of 50 concurrent Visual Voice Mail sessions are possible to permit users to login, delete, or save their voice mail.
A maximum of 30 audio connections to the voice mail system can be active at one time.
A maximum of 50 IP Phones is supported.
You are automatically logged out of the system after 5 minutes of inactivity.
For internal calls originating from extensions that have a voice mailbox, Visual Voice Mail displays both the caller name and number. All other calls display "Unknown Caller" followed by the number (if available).
If the extension has a mailbox in the embedded voice mail system, that mailbox's credentials will always be used to access Visual Voice Mail. Any other external (NuPoint) mailboxes will be accessible only if there is no embedded voice mail mailbox for the extension.
You can log in to the voice mailbox, but cannot perform actions unless you initiate the voice mailbox by changing the default password in the VM Mailboxes form or in the User and Services Configuration form.
